Veronica is going to a big birthday celebration in June

My mom's niece is having a birthday in June. And we are going to her house to celebrate it. I'm going to be the princess of the party and wear a big dress. There will be chicken and salad and chips and pop there. I'm looking forward to the party.

Amanda is exited about her birthday

I'm happy about May, because my birthday is on a Monday this year. I'm turning 22 this year. For my birthday, I'm going to go to the mall and go to Build a Bear. I'm thinking about making a Harley-Davidson bear. I'm really into Harley stuff right now. I'm going to bring in a treat for everyone at cobblestone. Birthdays are great.

Beauty & The Beast Community Performance

The students Monday community performance was sold out again!  Beauty & The Beast was a big hit with the audience and the students & staff did a great job! The next show will Micheal Jackson Monday  April 22  at 10:30 to 11:15.

Veronica Had A Great Time At Her Nephew's Party

Last night I went to a party for my sister's son. He is now 1 and a half. He walks and talks now. We played a card game that I won 3 times. We didn't have chips or cake. My mom cooked potatoes and chicken. It made me sick. I had fun.

Charlie loves good rock music

My favorite band is ZZ Top. I like how they play hard. My favorite song of theirs is ''Gimmie All Your Lovin'' . I also like James Brown, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and the Beach Boys. All of them play great music.

OJ  Brigance played in the CFL & NFL winning championships with both the Baltimore Stallions and Ravens. OJ was diagnosed in 2007 with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) The Ravens kept OJ on as the senior advisor to player development. And the Baltimore Ravens went on to win the 2013 Super bowl this month!  In addition to this accomplishment, OJ & his wife founded the Brigance Brigade. Gerry Kurtz a student at The Cobblestone Arts Center performs in the Cobblestone 2013 Performance Art Series, company performances for the community to come and enjoy.  Along with his excellent skills in music, Gerry is a terrific actor and vocalist. Gerry is very positive about everything including the program and his family life.  His positivity and aptitude attribute to his staff assistant position at the Cobblestone Arts Center. He is very enthusiastic and creative in visual arts classes which rubs off on others and enhances the work of his peers. Vanessa Goodwin said “Gerry is ready and willing to help out anyone and does so with a smile on his face and he will teach you everything you need to know about pirates.” Art instructor, Jamel Nihart calls Gerry “Mr. Optimism”, and staff assistant Gina Landry stated that he is the most fun loving pirate she has ever worked with.

Cobblestone Art’s Center is a non-profit organization bringing the performing and visual arts to persons with disabilities. The  teachers have introduced the popular “Pintrest” application to the  Cobblestone students. They are learning how to incorporate this new social media application alongside their art and computer skills. It allows the students to exhibit their creative ideas and artwork online. There are two ways that pintrest can integrate our program with family, friends and the community. Anyone that joins the free application can “follow” the Cobblestone students and view or purchase the work that they “pin.”In addition to viewing the students work, anyone following the students can submit ideas for projects that the students may benefit from and enjoy.  This unique integration of technology and instruction opens a whole new world to our students. Veronica got a brand new coloring book

I got a new coloring book last night. With kings and queens in it. I color them red and white. I love getting new coloring books. Coloring makes me relax.

Kara loves taco's

I had taco's for dinner last night. And I love taco's so much, I'm having them for dinner again tonight! I like the hard shell taco the most. I like cheese, baked beans, sour cream, and tomatoes on my taco. I like to drink milk with my taco. I almost drank the whole milk jug last night. Whenever I go to the mall I get 3 taco's and a big soda. I love taco's so much I can eat the whole box.

Veronica has a weekend planned at her sisters house

I'm going to my sisters house this weekend. We are going to watch a movie and I will play with her baby. We are also going to play video games. I will color with my nephew and it will be fun. I like spending time with my family.

Rob talks about his favorite movie ''Step-Up'' with Channing Tatum

I love the movie Step-up My favorite acter is channning taum because he play Tyler Gage the hip hop street wise dancer while Nora is a dancer who takes ballet I wish I was Tyler Gage because he has some sick moves one day I will be good as Tyler gage. Nora ok with ballet when Tyler Gage is not. But when Anderw got hurt Tyler filled in for him Nora try to fix this probelm and Tyler just walked because he was mad at Nora for tricking him and is fed up untile the end when he agreed to do this show case with Nora. He did good in the show case because he mrs. gordon he can make in side the school that is MSA.

Veronica is having a family get together to celebrate her birthday

My sister made me a cake for my birthday. It is chocolate. My sister is also cutting and coloring my hair for my birthday. My sisters husband is giving my flowers. We will watch tv as a family after that. I love birthdays.

Veronica is going to color her hair black like Selana for her birthday

I'm getting my haircut and colored on the 9th. It will be colored black. Like Selena the singer. My birthday is on the 12th at my sister's house. My sister will give me a credit card, and my aunt will give me money and a ring. We are going to have cheesecake, chips, cherry coke, and we will go shopping for a coloring book. Then I will go home and watch a scary movie. I liked scary movies since I was a little baby. I love birthdays.

I  am looking  forward to being Einstein in the performance. I bet every one is going to do a great job. And the audience will like it.

Veronica misses Helana because she has a good heart

This weekend I'm going to my sisters house to see her baby. I'm going to play with my nephew. I'm also going to shopping after my dad gave me 20 dollars. I'm going to buy a coloring book. I miss Helana, she has a good heart. I want to give her flowers for her wedding. I want to give her a hug.

Veronica has plans to watch some scary movies this weekend

This weekend I'm going to watch some scary movies. I'm going to watch Freddy Krueger, Chuckie, and Halloween. I'm going to eat some popcorn with cheese while watching the movies. I love watching scary movies. My mom can't watch scary movies. She is scared of snakes. I'm excited about watching these movies.

Adam has great memories with his Aunt Char

When I was a kid I went to Johnson's Park with Aunt Char. We would see the harness racing horses in the big barns. We would walk around the barns for hours then when we got hot we would go back to the big guy's old house to go swimming.

Rob was forced to switch special olympic teams last weekend

on Saturday I was glad to be playing for the jags but when I was ready to bat the coach told me that I might be playing for the panthers team I was shocked to be playing for the panthers team. The coach didn't tell me why  he said if the panthers is one player short I 'll have to play for the panthers. I don't like to play for the panthers. My life is with the jags. Why is this happening to me now? I was hoping that coach will understand that I play for the jags and only the the jags.
